WHAT's NEW???

A month, and then some, has gone by and loads has happened. Samantha turned 3 on the 27th of May. We had great weather for an outdoor party. She's into Tinkerbell, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, World Word, art (painting) and so on. We took a small road trip to visit dad at work where we had lunch with him on her actual birthday. The party was held on the weekend. Her 3 year checkup went very well. She has finally surpassed the 30lb. mark weighing in at 31 lbs.

This coming weekend we plan on purchasing new carseats for Samantha and Bailey gets to graduate to what is now Samantha's carseat, yet another milestone.

Bailey is growing like a weed of course. Her hair looks a bit blond with a tint of red...which is interesting because neither matt nor I had red hair. Matt did however have blond hair growing up...amazing since his hair is soooo dark!

Bailey isn't exactly talking yet, she signs "more" "milk" bobbs her head for "yes" reaches out for things she wants, zips and unzips things including the fascinating diaper bag (not sure what she likes so about it but it's her favorite right now). Bailey still plays with her fisher price cars using the "vroom" noises...too cute. Both girls LOVE to be outside, so we've started playing outside much more. Bailey has a BLAST in the sandbox (it's always bath night after sandbox play) and like all kids both girls thoroughly enjoy the water table :) We've done some planting of flowers recently and Bailey, more than Samantha, seems to think she can rack/dig in all the flower pots and then of course pull the flower petals. We'll see if there's any flowers left by next week or the end of the summer!

Bailey is officially on milk...GOODBYE FORMULA, thank goodness! She is completely on table food as well. Jello is her fav right now since she was sick (a virus that mimicked strep...bad sore throat) so she only drank water and ate jello. Loves just about any foods though, especially any food that's on your plate :) Like her sister, they love Mac-n-Cheese, strawberries, and Cinnamon Life Cereal. Bailey will eat eggs as samantha barely does, overall both girls eat when they are hungry...some meals more than others.

Some day we hope that Bailey will sleep the entire night through. Some nights are better than others as she will only wake up once but there are many nights that she's up two-four times...sometimes its quick while others take forever (which usually means she ends up in our bed for the remainder of the night). We've gone the path of letting her cry, yes that has woken samantha up before, that just doesn't seem to do the trick. She's our crier that's for sure! I think she just wants to make sure that mom and dad are there and didn't leave her.

The girls have also started a new daycare...still all boys except for themselves, but they don't seem to mind. This provider is VERY laid back, loads of play time, the girls get along very well with everyone...including the provider's 6 year old daughter! The daycare is closer to town and located in a mutual place for both parents...yes are parents are godsends!!!! They help us out through thick and thin. Between matt coaching, his meets, and taking classes, then me working til at least 645 at night our parents have helped us in desperate times of needs...they deserve the BIG THANK YOU!!!!!Check Spelling

Now that it's summer, matt is completing his internship and my hours have changed so i'm home earlier and longer with the girls! Stay tuned for what will hopefully be fun filled summer updates!
